I'm gonna have to say "not redneck." While his solution may be improvised, I think the uniform charcoal color and over-all utility of the containers places the device out of the redneck zone.  I'll try to think of some redneck examples (with no offense intended toward any members here whose neck be tinged with rouge):

-5 pipes stored in a ziplock bag that is tacked to the wall.
-one pipe each in tupperware containers that are too small to close with the pipe inside.
-one pipe each in beer cozies lining the mantle.
-one pipe each store by hooking the bowl end on the points of antlers on a mounted, dust-covered deer trophy.

If I still had a functioning banjo, I would record a sound clip of me playing it while you read off his examples. I completely agree.

I went with What the heck was he thinking. I said it before and I will say it again. $500+ pipes in a $2 box? You really should be put in the corner and in a time out!  Grin

Can't be redneck (I still wonder about the origin of that designation), no duck tape...

Yeah, well redneck or not, I think I'm gonna have to rig something this up for myself!  The ingenuity of human kind never ceases to amaze me.  This is a prime example of of why humans rule the world, instead of other lesser, non oposable-thumb bearing creatures.  Grin

Thank you Duke and Karok01 for the pat on the back.  Here's another "Redneck" idea I came up with if you own Falcon pipes:

Too much smoking while doing yard work.  Tried to fix it without much luck.  It still smokes okay, but it does look Redneck.  Plan on replacing it sometime in the future.

Fully agree on Ray's wire rack.  It's friggin' brilliant is what it is.

Duke's rest?  Not Redneck.  Utilitarian bordering on ghetto.  But not Redneck.  If those little trays  were recycled Velveeta boxes...we'd be getting closer.
